Learn About Drawstrings

Specific drawstring rules apply to upper outerwear, such as jackets and hoodies.

Sizes 2T-16

Waist drawstrings on upper outerwear must measure 3 inches or shorter and be sewn to the garment at the midpoint to prevent pulling to one side.

Sizes 2T-12

Neck drawstrings should be completely removed.

Learn About Otteroos

Under the guidance of the Consumer and Product Safety Commission (CPSC), JBF has chosen not to accept Otteroo LUMI and MINI at our sales events. The CPSC has found that the Otteroo can deflate during use or storage. This product poses a drowning risk.

Learn About Water Beads

The CPSC has issued a product safety warning for all water beads. These cannot be sold at JBF events.

Water beads are sold as toys, in craft kits, or as a sensory tool or toy. They are small water-absorbing balls that can grow 100 times their size when exposed to water. If ingested by babies and small children it can lead to choking, internal injuries, or death.
